The following four young entrepreneurs each won £1,000 for their start-up in November's Shell LiveWIRE Grand Ideas Awards.
Big Green Plan Ltd is a corporate responsibility and sustainable communications company, specialising in helping small and medium sized companies to minimise their environmental footprint and communicate their achievements. Big Green Plan will help companies who meet their targets promote their achievements. The services are split into three stages: Baseline, Implementation, and Review, which will help companies adhere to legislation, save costs, achieve their sustainability goals, and stand out from the crowd.
The Lazy Camper is a complete camping kit containing everything campers need, all in one bag. The kit is perfect for festivals and includes a high quality two-man tent, mummy shaped sleeping bag, comfy sleeping mat, camping stool, cooking stove, fuel carrier, matches, stainless steel mug, stainless steel food tins, five-litre water carrier, waterproof poncho, toilet seat covers, mini first aid kit, LED headlamp, and a cutlery kit. The business offers delivery direct to the customer and is currently working with major festivals to offer customers the option of collecting the kit at the festival.

The business improves children's understanding of the curriculum, develops emotional and social responses to a topic, improves access to learning for children with SEN, EAL and EBD, improves engagement amongst boys, and is tailored to fit a school's class sizes, needs and timetable.
Leading Edge MedTech is a product design engineering business that commercialises its technologies for the medical devices industry. They have a passion to impact the healthcare industry with ground breaking med-tech innovations and are currently looking to develop a new set of innovative electrodes to be used in the dissection of body tissue. This new electrosurgical innovation will enhance blood control during incisions and dissection; offer more precise and localised cutting and control of the electrical current; increase staff and patient safety; and reduce set-up time and, consequently, room for error. It will improve the hospital theatre management process and will lead to huge money savings to the health services and make advancements in the quality of patient care.
