News | Yell educates SMEs with series of Digital Marketing infographics
Yell’s web design team has created a series of infographics titled 'Digital Marketing for SMEs' which give insight and advice to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on digital marketing, to help them generate more customer leads.
Yell’s research has revealed a demand amongst small businesses for help and advice in developing their online profile, with up to 200,000 UK SMEs looking to build a new website.
When it comes to consumer opinion, Yell's research also discovered that:
- 80%* trust a business more if it has an online presence
- almost 3/4 people think search engines are the fastest way to find information about a local business
- over 2/3 of people don’t bother looking past page 2 of search engine results
- over half of people use a search engine when looking for a review of a local business
The easy-to-read infographic series includes six separate stages on how business owners can better market their company more effectively using the internet including Twitter, video marketing, SEO, Google Places, social media and e-commerce.
One infographic per day (like the one below) will be released on Yell's marketing website throughout the week commencing Monday 14th May, along with an easy to use embed code so it can be hosted and shared socially.
About the research
Independent research conducted by OnePoll and commissioned by Yell, is used in the infographics to highlight the reasons why SMEs should market themselves online and is supported with step-by-step tips from Yell Marketing experts on how to get started.
Each infographic identifies opportunities that SMEs could be missing out on if they do not embrace the online world, such as widening their customer base locally and maximising their website's attractiveness.
