Mason Holden wins February's Shell LiveWIRE Smarter Future Award

Mason Holden won February’s £5,000 Shell LiveWIRE Smarter Future Award for his business, Admium.
Admium helps cities evolve with changing public need through the design, manufacture, supply and installation of inventive ad supported street furniture and services.  Admium’s flagship product is Sentinel, an advertising-supported bicycle parking structure, equipped with a built in locking mechanism and key-card or mobile app access.  ‘Get Britain cycling’, the annual parliamentary report on the progress towards the national goals of 10% of journeys made by bicycle by the year 2020, and 25% by the year 2050, stated that the two primary barriers to entry for cycling is the lack of safe and dedicated cycling infrastructure and the fear of bicycle theft. Admium answers to both of these problems, by significantly increasing the security of bicycles with Sentinel and by reinvesting a portion of advertising revenue into improving cycling infrastructure.  
 
Commiserations to Andrew Enebe (Energy Donwell), Michael Findlater (Notio Studio),  Filippo Massarelli (Helios Solarcover) and Damian Oracki (Showslice UK) who were shortlisted but did not win this time and are encouraged to reapply.
