Jermaine Hagan wins the 2013 Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award!

At the Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award ceremony in central London last night, the truly inspirational Jermaine Hagan was crowned '2013 Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year'.
The 23 year old from London won a £10,000 cash prize and trophy for the inspirational work he has been doing with his business, Revision App, which aims to make education more accessible and improve students’ grades around the world.

In addition to Jermaine’s win, fellow finalist Arthur Kay was presented with a special 'Shell LiveWIRE Innovation Award' for his work with bio-bean, the first company in the world to recycle waste coffee grounds into biofuels. The award comes with a £5,000 cash prize and trophy.

Both winners had previously won a £1,000 Shell LiveWIRE Grand Ideas Award before making it through to the Final 8, which included fellow winners Mat Dusting (M-24), Jennifer Duthie (Skribbies), Daniel Valdur Eha (Pure Pet Food), Rajeev Nayyar (Fixflo), Tom Harrington (Wesold) and Jacob Hill (The Lazy Camper).

The 8 amazing young entrepreneurs had spent the previous day being interviewed by and presenting to an esteemed panel of judges, including Helene Martin Gee, Paul Owen, Helen Emberton, David Bunch, Mark Hart, Clare Harris, Alex Mitchell and last year’s Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Ben Allen.
