Passing on some great advice from 2009 Grand Ideas Award-winners Ethicalcommunity.com...
2009 Grand Ideas Award-winners Liam Patterson and Jason Dainter give us their top tips for starting up in business.

Ethicalcommunity.com is a site that focuses on empowering small businesses and producers to not only list and sell their ethical products on our site, but to also encourage regular users of the site to engage and interact with the people behind the products.

1. Allow a large amount of time for planning. It’s tempting just to rush and launch any business but time invested in planning will enable you to save a lot of money.
2. Set up a good system for communicating with your team and managing tasks early on, and stick to it!
3. Don’t be afraid to delegate tasks.
4. Always ask for help and advice! It’s amazing how much support there is available and how open people are to helping.
5. Build a brilliant team around you.
