Description:
S A T ‘making things happen’ is a cutting edge and imaginative organisation, with a passion for the arts and cultural development. We plan to organise a range of arts projects in places where people live, work and meet, while also being a source of information, training, advice and support.

Our aims are to run a programme of work which is diverse, inspiring, relevant to participants and dynamic, while working creatively with people of all ages and from all walks of life; reaching out to groups through working in partnership with a whole range of organisations and venues.

Throughout the year S A T will work on a number of different projects and initiatives. At any one time we will have several projects underway, with other projects being evaluated and new projects being planned and set up.

Our programme includes:

o Arts projects with specific groups in different community setting very often set
up and run in partnership with other organisations.

o Being a source of advice, training, ideas, support and information for groups interested in participatory arts.

o Providing training, support and hands-on experience of arts projects for artists interested in finding out more about participatory arts.

OUR FOCUS:

At the heart of our effort is passion, fun, equality, opportunity and attainment for all.

We are a professional touring arts company with a host of creative participation projects. All S A T projects create a culture of inclusion and consultation where all individuals feel apart of the community rather than excluded from it. S A T’s work is aimed at engaging the whole community but has a particular focus on those most deprived, disaffected, in need or at risk, who present challenging behaviour and for those with additional needs.

S A T ‘making things happen’ is focussed in putting our audiences and participants at the centre of all our work. We create high quality work that is built to meet the needs of everyone.

THE S A T GROUP:

The three companies which make-up S A T ‘making things happen’, that will plan, organise and deliver all of these services. Secure Artistic Talent (CIC), Sound Art Theatre (Charity) and Dance Fusion School of Dance (unincorporated).
DANCE FUSION SCHOOL of DANCE
Dance Fusion is a dance school with a difference. Choreographed by our highly qualified dance teachers S A T ‘making things happen’ will offer a range of dance projects fused with creating awareness of issues relevant to our group and local community. Here each member will learn about the topic, have discussions, and fuse their feelings with dance and movement to convey an epic story that will touch and move the heart of the audience. Each term will last for 12 weeks, ending with a show, tour and involvement in local festivals.

We will be developing a dance school in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
