E-mail Mailing

This question may have a really obvious answer, but what is the easiest way of sending a mailing out to hundreds of people by e-mail without doing them all separately?

hi Natalie,

I think in outlook if you put the addresses in the bcc bit the other recipients dont see it.

Do a mini test first.

I always use my database program to do this.

There are a number of companies out there that offer a service to send out bulk mailings.

the benefit of these companies is that you are able to track and see who has read your email and if you include links in your email you can also see if they have clicked back to your website. You can also see if the email has bounced (not delivered).

if you decide to send out an email campaign make sure you send out a multipart email (a single e-mail that has a html version and a text version)

checkout www.stoneshot.com
they offer a good service including a design of a html template.

One way of doing it is to put your email address in the top "to" field so you get a test email, and then put all the others in the "bcc" field.

Hi,
I use the mail merge function on microsoft word. You can create your document and then link to a database (again I use access). Customers are then emailed. This is a free way to do it. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the responses.

I just tried the method of putting all the contacts in the 'bcc' field and it works. I will also try to do it in Word.

Thanks again.

Hi, we can write you a program to email all or a selection of emails from the database. You will have a link to your admin site on which you will be able to login using your username and password.

The site will allow you to add, remove and edit current links, as well as email from allowing you to select individual clients or everyone in the database. You will be allowed to send html as well as plain text emails.
