without paying customs

Hi guys,

I should be very happy today as I got my first small stock delivered right to my door this aftrernoon...but I expected to pay customs fees as my order exceeded £200.00....anyway, I wasn't charged a penny but when I took the parcel inside and opened it i saw that the value of the parcel has been brought down to as little as $0.79 !!! Did the supplier try to help me to avoid customs charges or what??!!! I haven't received their invoice either apart from the email invoice earlier on... they are good with delivery and service but how do I show the "paperwork" to my accountant???!! What do I do?

do you mean they removed stuff from your parcel? what is the $0.79 about?

no, everything that I paid nearly £200.00 for was there but the actual value was specified as $0.79 by the supplier which led me thinking that they did it 'to help' me not to pay customs fee...

what did you order? Not everything is subject to import duty. Go to TARIC and check your item.
