Pc Reseller Business

Hi Everyone,

I have just set up a PC reseller business and I would be grateful for any ideas, suggestions as to how to target the UK Student Market.

Also If anyone else has set up this kind of business if they Know of any trade suppliers or can help me in any way with ideas to build business? I would be grateful.

I am aware that various Government sites e.g. DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) get rid of their (Old) PC's to a central distributor. There is then the opportunity for somone to buy from these distributors and re-build the PC's, putting fresh software on them and maybe upgrading them (which is v.cheap these days) and then selling them on. I know this because I have recently just bought a re-furbished PC from someone who does this.

I'm afraid that I do not know where these distributors are nor how to find out. Maybe phoning your local Council office would be a start.

No idea i have just seen the computers advertised on notice boards but they will not be new there be second hand..

if you go to www.dell.co.uk then go to there outlet section that’s where the cheap machines are..

Richard - you could try a search for marketing agencies that specifically work with and target the student market.
