basically you can zoom into earth, (anywhere) from space.

It's a groovy globe that you can zoom in and out of. It's great! I zoomed right down to my actual street and then back up again so the Earth was at a distance. I still can't believe it, it's incredible!

Its like your own satelite where you can view different places get directions from one place to another. Zoom in and out view the tower of london, the white house e.t.c

Imagine when it is real time?

Seeing this satellite amazes me enough.

I nearly fainted when I zoomed to my street and could see my car.

I then typed in petrol, and it zoomed out to show me all the nearby pertol stations.

My brain nearly imploded when I went to New York, and selected the buildings and tilted and did a virtual walk through the city.

I believe there is a lot of distance in this idea if they can keep it updated.

It is amazing - but we've just spotted that it places Gateshead in Newcastle, so it's not perfect!

Yeah I noticed it was a bit dodgy when it came to non-American places but when you look at New York and other American places it's nearly perfect and how far you can zoom down is fabulous.

how did you see your car, when i zoom in it gets really blurred and unclear.

I think he was joking about that, however, I've gone back to messing around with it after an hour or so break because I thought I might have a go at trying to go for the view of London that EastEnders show at the beginning of every episode. By doing this I do not endorse EastEnders, in fact I recommend avoiding it

By the way before any says, yes I am a bit sad and no I don't have anything better to do - well for now anyway, I'm going to read The Sun in a minute and then get down to some business after that. Life's great

It depends on the area how good the pictures are. The north of my town is very clear - you can make out individual houses quite easily. In the southern fringe where i live you can only make out the field edges, but not my road or individual house.

On my fathers house however not only can see he has left the BBQ out again, at the time of the picture his PA is probably the only one in his office at the time of the pic (on the basis of a blue splodge in the car park - she is the only one driving a blue car in the company).
