Iam trying to set up a business (a school to teach english to foreign students). i have been having trouble trying to get a quote for my insurance. Do you know of a company that would be able to insure me for this type of business

Hi Lee,

The following link will take you to a paper by the Federation of Small Business on insurance issues for small business which may be of some help if you are finding it difficult to get Public Liability or Employers' Liability Compulsory Insurance:

Ask advice from someone running a TEFL school in another part of the country - try the Kent School of English in Broadstairs. An alternative to consider might be to look at running your school out of premises that are already insured.

Good Luck,
