Retail Clothing T-shirt Industry - Please Read !!!

Hello Everyone,

I am hoping that some Brainy person will be able to help me and answer my questions ! Any info would be Ggggreat !!!

I have been hoping to setup a t-shirt company for sometime now and have spent at least 3 months doing marketing and surveys in my area, although there are at least 3 shops that do sell t-shirts with other clothes there are no shops that sell just t-shirts alone and non that sell the types of tees i would like to sell !

To cut a long story/problem short i was wondering if anyone knew where these companies buy their t-shirts from, i don't think they design and print themselves so i was wondering if anyone knew the traders/wholesalers that supply them with t-shirts.

If you are looking for printed t-shirts you could attend a trade fair for example the main fair that dealt with street wear was 40 degrees - www.40degrees.co.uk I believe this trade fair has been amalgamated with another one called Pure. www.pure.co.uk - I think that is the website! There is a couple of other trade fairs which I don't know the name of But I know that Drapers Record Magazine ( available in WH Smiths ) lists some Clothing Trade Fairs and New Wholesalers. And also a company called Daddy did a range of T-shirts - www.daddydesignlondon.co.uk. They showed their stock at another trade fair which is meant to be better than 40degrees so send them an e-mail to ask them the name.

The trade fairs are free - you just need to register with them and they send you the info. The trade fair websites often have a list of exhibitors with their websites addresses.

I have looked at their profile and none of the products they list above are listed on their profile, but I reckon they have expanded their product range without actuall updating their profile on the Trade Directory.
