WorldPay with Personal Bank Account

Hi,

A month or two a go there was a thread asking if WorldPay would make payments into a personal bank account. Has anyone got any more info on this? I currently use my personal account for business and have been offered a business account by the bank. I can always ask World Pay but thought I'd post it here first.

Also, any of you web designers out there know of any Flash Buttons I can download for use in Dreamweaver MX. I've got pretty much everything from the Macromedia site and am lookig for other sites for more.

Thanx,

Sham

Hi There

As to world pay i think its 35p to transfer to your bank (http://www.worldpay.com/uk/pricing/p...lddirect.shtml )

I think you do need a business account (WorldPay FAQ )

Will I need a new bank account?

Not necessarily, though you will need an account in the name of your business. Your funds can be settled into an account almost anywhere in the world.

You better contact them

What kind of flash buttons you after nav style ones

Regards

Chris

Hello Sham, hope you are well. Regarding Worldpay, it's better if you email them and ask them directly. Although we use Worldpay ourselves, we use a business account for our transactions.

As for Flash buttons, you could try: www.flashkit.com It's a good site with lots of usefull informtion. On the subject of Flash, we recently (and are currently) working on some tutorials based on Flash, which can be found here: http://tutorial.designrweb.co.uk

We have the following up and running, but many more demo's will be added shortly.(Including FTP, Outlook Express, Webmail..etc) Mail, DNS, Directories and Webusers

Thanks Guys!

Thanks for the response guys.

Chris: Yes, I'm looking for Flash navigation buttons. I already have quite a few but am trying to get some more.

Designr: The tutorials you are working on will definitely be good for your business. I suppose it's a bit like giving advice on here, it gives out the impression of generosity and wanting to help others rather than trying to push sales and getting people to part with their cash. You will be attracting poeple to your business and the obvious spin-off will be extra sales or custom.

I am going down these lines with my site. I think I discussed it with you before. I'm going to have the site packed with tips & advice on golf and will hopefully make some sales this way. I also have a discussion board set up which I hope will become successful.

I'm a bit slow about getting the site up and running properly because I have so many other things to sort out at the same time. I'm still learing about web design (html) so puting a nice site together doesn't come naturally.

I'll keep you both informed on my progress and will ask you to have a look at it when it goes live.

Thanks again,

Shamrocker

If your building a communtity look at free portal scripts this will combine everything your after like articles forums news etc. It is all managed from a admin screen which will take away the need to learn HTML and easily updated

I am currently playing with one for my own digital photo fun one...

The Link (please remember this is in Dev Stage)

Regards

Chris

P.S. Anyone interested in Digital photography we require beta testers and could use your help!!!!

Just to add to Chris's post, an alternative to the ASP Portal he has linked, (if you are on Linux running PHP) you could try http://www.phpnuke.org

If it helps, try these free links:
For a discussion Board: www.invisionboard.com
For ecommerce: www.oscommerce.com
For a portal: www.phpnuke.org

As for our demo's, we will be adding more general ones, like Outlook Express, FTP..etc which will be applicable to most hosts.

Unfortunately, golf is not my strong point, so im sure ill learn a thing or two when your site is up and live.

Regards
Jay

Hi Chris. I have just emailed you (via this forum) with some further information. Generally, we do not offer dedicated servers, as there is to much set up/ admin/ support work involved. The closest thing we have to one would be our Resellers Accounts.

Although the Resellers Accounts are not quite as flexable as a dedicated server, all the managing, security, upgrades, patches and admin is handled by us. They are also a lot cheaper then a dedicated server.

Thanks
Jay
