Well no, it was a 'friend' doing it. I was going to pay, but the whole thing didn't go through.

Then if you have not paid for it, it remains your friends property/copyright.

I'm sure graphic designers on here will give you a quote of a logo :')

Send them a Cheque in the post with a little note explaining payment for logo. (Keep it breif)

If they cash the cheque, use the Logo..

If they don't... well...

well,yes - to a point...but (IMHO) if you commission someone to do work,whether logo design or something else,then it is bad form to renege on that and withhold payment for services rendered....ESPECIALLY if you are going to use the logo (!)

(Personally,I would offer them the money and make clear it is specifically for use of the logo .)
