Dormant Limited Company
I'm in the process of setting up my coaching practice and would like to get the limited company name and keep the company dormant until I need it.
What paperwork would I need to maintain/file to Companies House if I registered a dormant company? Do I still need the services of an accountant to maintain it dormant? Thanks. |

This was raised a while ago and there are some issues to think of.
A visit to companies house website is your best bet. This Link drops you straight in to dormant co. questions. You never NEED the services of an accountant and the paperwork should be quite simple unless your business dealing form a complex network. I have managed without one but I must admit to the odd call or email to James to check bits out. An accountant is never a bad idea and they may be able to save you money on your tax but probably not as importatn if dormant. |

Purchase your company and then when your returns are due, you send them back as dormant and it's pretty simple. I have one too.
