Fund101 - Up to £5,000 start-up funding available per month!
Good morning everyone,
You might have heard of it already, but here is a quick reminder about the fact that the Enterprise Nation is running the Fund 101 (www.enterprisenation.com/fund101) Quote:
Which is our case! ![]() Since you can vote for as many entries as you want, we would really appreciate if you could vote for us following this link: http://www.enterprisenation.com/fund...-concepts-ltd/ It just takes a minute to register and you can then submit your own entry too! Thanks a lot guys, and if you also decide to apply for it please write the link of your entry below and we will vote for you, which is the good thing of being part of a network! The Tyligo team.

Good luck with your entry Matthieu!
Of all the business start-up competitions out there, I'd say Fund101 is the easiest way to get your hands on a little bit of cash. The entry process is very simple. You just register for a free account (although it says that they've put a temporary hold on new applications), upload details about your business/idea and encourage people to vote for you. 1 vote = £1 You can apply for between £50-£500 but whatever your target you will need to reach the same number of votes. If you don't, you don't get any money. Sounds simple? Well, yes and no. Understandably, most of the businesses on the site (http://www.enterprisenation.com/funding-applications/) are asking for the full £500 but are nowhere near reaching 500 votes. So, unless you have LOTS of friends (or a very large mailing list of clients/customers) I'd recommend that people apply for a smaller amount of money, e.g. £50 or £100 so they have a greater chance or hitting their target. Like most business awards (including our own £1,000 Grand Ideas Awards), the cash isn't the only thing to take into consideration. If you win, the money will be spent in a moment but you will always be able to say that you won a 'Fund101 Award sponsored by Enterprise Nation, PayPal & Intuit'. The kudos and exposure/PR you will receive through their site is actually worth much more than the cash alone. ![]() On a personal note: My wife has actually entered the competition for her 'Baby Friendly North East' website - an online community offering information on baby-friendly cafes, restaurants and fun things to do in the North East of England. She's asked for the full £500 but so far has only received 28 votes. If you'd like to help her reach 500 votes (& prove me wrong) then you can vote for her idea at: http://www.enterprisenation.com/funding-applications/baby-friendly-north-east/

I would urge others to apply to Fund 101. I signed up on the day it launched, and about 3 weeks later I won £500 (yet to receive the money). I have received lots of exposure on the Enterprise Nation website and have met some great contacts. It IS possible to reach the 500 votes, it just takes a lot of hard work! I sent messages to every single Facebook friend, and constantly updated my Twitter profile with my personal Enterprise Nation URL, asking people to vote and RT it. Now I'm trying to take the same approach with the Grand Ideas video pitch, though I can't see how many people have voted so it's hard to quantify how well I'm doing.. (shameless plug: more votes always appreciated!)
You can read my Fund 101 winner's profile here: http://www.enterprisenation.com/blog...los-vagabonds/ P.S. I voted for both Tyligo Trailers and Baby Friendly N.E too!
