Revolution Design Mark 2

Revolution Design has a new site.

After much critisism after my first atempt I got someone. This is a short post.....

Hi Lee,

I think you may have some negative feedback about the "About Us" page, especially the first paragraph, that may offend alot of people, just word of warning!! Otherwise it looks alot better, the logo looks abit odd now though, wrong colours I think.

Yeah but come on Lee, if you running a website were your wanting to sell items the last thing you want to do is offend possible customers, commen sense really mate.

Revolution Design was founded in January 2004, with one idea in mind, cheap sex from professional working girls, available whenever and wherever. However due to the current government legislation this wasn't possible. Not letting this knock him back, founding owner Lee Simpson looked to the next best thing; ass kicking, jaw dropping, family offending, slut attracting, religion repelling apparel at low prices even students can afford.

Thats from the "about us" section on Lees site your wording is completely different, do you see my point.

Not too disimilar to our aims though. Though I did word it a little more tactfully, but we're aiming for the same market, the Loaded/FHM lads/ladettes market, and I'm not sure they wouldn't find it funny.

Each to his own I suppose, I do take your point though.

My first point is a negative i'm afraid, I have to agree with Brett - the amount of bad language on the site is awful! This simply won't appeal to everyone.

My other points though are good points!

The colour is much stronger than the black/white version, the whole site has a very fun, informal feel to it, something that I think is often taken away by shopping on the internet.

I think your next port of call would be to except Splash Plastic cards (www.splashplastic.com) this would enable young people to purchase products from your site, Splash cards are ideal for people who for whatever reason do not have credit/debit cards. As far as I am aware, Citizen Card (proof of age scheme) were promoting Splash cards alongisde their cards, so I would imagine Splash would increase your sales five fold.

The customer quotes, job application, etc all make the site stand out as different.

I'll admit I went into the site with dim-views, but came away thinking what T-shirt to buy, and thinking about the site and its content.

I am also impressed the BT internet e-mail addresses have disappeared and @revolution-shop.co.uk ones been introduced.

Well done Lee. With work like that your marketing company could get some good jobs in!

But please work on accepting an online payment method, displaying a postal address and reducing bad language.

Remember your site may trigger family filters with that much bad language!

Oh yeah just remembered the other good thing about your site "beg us for a free t-shirt and we might give you one" - excellent concept.

I think your getting a little caught up in what I'm trying to do. It's a professional company but my potential customer likes that kind of thing. It's crude its rude and they love it...

Hi Lee,

I still think that you should change just a few of the words like sl*t etc. Don't forget you need peoples trust to pay over your website and with foul language it give a sense of someone being either young or not professional. Just my opinion

I strongly agree with Brett.

Be different - but remember ethics as well.

Would you swear at a new customer coming through your doors if you had a Revolution Shop? I hope you wouldn't, remember your website is your virtual shop, and therefore you should treat it exactly like a high street store.

Sort it out Lee! lol

Otherwise like I said, its all good.
