Don't forget - 31st January is the deadline for online Self Assessment!

As if you would forget, here's a friendly little reminder that the deadline for online Self Assessment is midnight on Monday 31st Jan 2011 (only 2 weeks away at the time of writing).



Late submissions will receive in an automatic penalty of £100 for individuals. Meanwhile, if a Partnership Tax Return is late there's a £100 penalty for each partner and if a Trust and Estate Tax Return is late there's a £100 charge to the trust or estate.

Is anyone having problems with their Self Assessment or is it pretty self explanatory. Also, hands up if you've been good and submitted yours already (or if you'll be doing it last minute)!

ARGH! I literally can't leave the flat without seeing Moira Stewart's face everywhere! Putting myself under house arrest this weekend and not leaving till it's done.

If its any consolation I haven't done mine yet.

Although we have done about 200 for other people, most of them well before January thankfully!

NB this weekend is probably a far better bet than next weekend as I imagine HMRC's servers will be taking a battering in the last couple of days before the deadline, and if you want any help from the helplines you are going to have about zero chance of getting through.
