Looking for PR quotes
Hello,
I'm looking for a quote for some PR work that I need. We're looking for local (Newcastle and North East) and possibly some national press so would like a press release written and sent out. Basically I've been trading 5 months now (design and internet marketing) after spending time on and off incapacity benefit due to bipolar disorder. I've recently found out I'm a runner-up in the 2009 Leonard Cheshire Ready to Start Awards. I'm attending a presentation at the House of Lords later this month. There is a whole other back story and some other features maybe worth mentioning in the release. If you would like to quote me for this or discuss it further please leave your details/credentials here or email emma@fizzbangseo.com Thanks

Hi
We are based up in Newcastle/Gateshead so know a few companies in the area. Have you tried onebestway http://www.onebestway.com/ or the B Group http://www.thebgroup.co.uk/? Mike at Onebestway has been a LiveWIRE judge before so mention us if you contact him! Cheers

Emma,
Just started up my own marketing consultancy and incidentally completely understand the stresses of the bipolar disorder as a long-time sufferer, so I'm happy to put up with the mood swings and the like, too, without any repercussions. If all you want doing are some press releases, I'll do it for referrals and a testimonial for my website that's currently under construction. We can talk money if you're satisfied with my work and want more doing. I'm currently operating from an e-mail address at ksconsulting@live.co.uk - don't let the freemail address fool you, it's temporary until the site is ready to go up. I'm completely professional and press releases are something I specialise in. Drop me a line, Kriss |

Did you get someone Emma? Was just thinking, a lot of the big charities have their own PR department and may be able to help you with a press release and getting it on the wires.
Also, try contacting your local newspaper - they love a local girl made good story, particularly if you can do an interview/provide pictures. www.mediauk.com is good for checking the local outlets? Congratulations! Caroline

Pay-as-Hugo PR
I've just been reading in Informnorth magazine about a new PR company in Darlington called Harvey & Hugo PR which provides 'affordable, one-off publicity for small and startup businesses.'
As well as ongoing PR campaigns for larger organisations, they've introduced a cool new service called 'Pay-as-Hugo PR' which allows small businesses to pay for one-off PR projects rather than be tied in to long-term contracts. Check out their website www.harveyandhugo.com for more details.
