Hello

welcome to the forum!

Do you know who your target market is? do you know where to find them, where do they shop, what hobbies do they have? age range?
There's lots more to finding out your target market, do some research on this subject and it will help you target your customers more directly!

best wishes

A quick search of the Domain Name and email address, comes back as black listed
Serious sellers should use sales@domain_name
Many people just don't trade with people that sell via anonymous email addresses

I recently bought some telesales leads, including names of people in charge of purchasing, whatever their position. They were not expensive and they allow me to exclude anyone on the "Telephone Preferential Service" or whatever it's called. If you have their name, it's easy to talk to the person in charge of buying.

There are several blacklist tools
I use spamhaus.org to check whether Domain Names and their associated email addresses are known

Thanks. Is this a paid-for service? I can't make head nor tail of it!

No, it's free
Searching for registered associated Domain Names and their email addresses is quite difficult, unless you actually send them an email (and risk being added to their spam listing!)
AOL has a rather overactive spam black listing and I have to continually ask them to update it

Ok, I'm going to nuke them from our business forum. I had the feeling...

Possibly a fake seller too.

Strange also that their IP address is from India.

Thanks for the info.

If you have access to the IP address then that makes the job even easier
Check here :

http://www.spamhaus.org/query/bl?ip=
Add the ID address you require to check
However, you might also want to check the IP address of the post and the confirmation email

I really love all the prices on the twinsnike website are all $0
To get prices you need to contact them
Now if I am correct, that actually breaches UK law now under the latest Consumer Protection : Unfair Trading Regulations 2008

Blocking IP addresses is not a good thing, unless you really want to block everyone that is from that ISP
A more rigorous membership approval is a better idea

Sadly the Shell Livewire website now has global appeal, even though only most people that are aware of it are in the UK!

I'm more than happy to offer advice to the worldwide audience, but I think new members should be restricted to replies only for the first 5 posts and only then able to create new posts after that

Apologies, I keep thinking this forum has sub-categories, but these were done away with at the last revamp
Other forums I use have privileges based on number of posts
New members can only post new topics in the open sections, and read only in the main categories
Without that, then it is pretty much a free for all which is resulting in the spam, and it's going to worse rather than better
