Hello folks in that scary, lonely but exciting place of starting my new business. Recently resigned from co-running a recruitment company and now want to start a company that helps SME's develop their sales potential.

Anyone have any advice on desk research on this area, i.e sales consultancy and the best places to look or obtain info?

any advice would greatly be received.

A good place to start reaching start ups and SME's other than here, would also be your local economic development dept of your local council.
