Feedback on a business idea
Hello,
I'm an IT Professional person with over 10 years experience in the IT support industry. I have an idea for starting up an IT Support business, providing remote & onsite pc support. Therefore, I would welcome any advice and feedback on using 'myITservices.co.uk', as a web site address and help with choosing a business name for it? Many Thanks, Nad |

Hi Nad - welcome to the forums.
You appear to have registered this domain name already, so why not use this as your business name? "My IT Services"? I presume you will be registered as a sole trader? |

Hi,
I appreciate your feedback. I had that very same thought of using the web site address as the business name. I know usually, people come up with a business name first and then use it as their web address. But, in my case, the web address idea came first and I wondered how it might look on a document (invoice, business card, etc) in the public eye and how it might sound when greeting customers over the phone. For instance, saying "Good morning My IT Services, Nad speaking, how can I help you?" Yes, I intend to register and start trading as a sole trader. Thanks, Nad. |

To be honest, I wouldn't stress for too long over the business name. Yes, it is important and needs to be something meaningful, but at the end of the day it will be your service that sells itself not your name.
Concentrate on getting your working practises and service quality up-to scratch first, then by the time you are ready to start launching the business you might have been inspired by a business name
