Hi Guys,

I've been cajoled by an old friend into signing up to Facebook and have been surprised how many "blasts from the past" and business contacts are on there.

Just wondered if anybody here is on facebook.

I created a shell livewire group funilly enough called - "Shell Livewire" - be good to see a few of you sign up and see the faces behind the logos.

It's amazing how much pressure you receive to join, so a couple of weeks ago I finally relented under the constant nagging to join.

I've found it useful for business to some degree actually, more than I though it would be and I try to resist playing games on there, which is why I was afraid to join in the first place.

Been Facebooking for a few months now - just about to go on and join the group.

Have this week worked out how to use it for netwroking & marketing - completely by accident - so I guess I can now at least partially justify the hours I've spent on there!

I'm on Facebook (isn't anyone?) but I've yet to figure out how to use it! I don't mean how to click the righ buttons 'cos that's easy... I mean how to use it for marketing and so on.

Anyone got any tips/advice?

I'd like to know this too! And also wouldn't it be better to have a page just for your business rather than mix it in with your personal page which might not give a great impression?!

I'm already on, been on just over a month and made contact with a few people.

It's easy to get too sucked into it and forget to meet people face-to-face though, so I only use it for people I very rarely see.

And no, I don't spend my working day using it! LOL.
