Handheld PC advice

just wondering if anyone knows of good handheld pcs which will be used basically to add to an inventory on site - probably on an excel spreadsheet and then also take a handwritten signature (though when i have had deliveries in past with these things i have found it incredibly hard to write a signature on) - are signatures done this way acceptable.

My mate seems to think you can get small computers that kind of fold over the arm but i have seen no sign of this - think he dreamt them.
