Urgh, they've put it up to 79.99, sorry .

400GB @ 69.99 - http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/sto...&category_oid=

I doubt that's the best buy though - looking at ebuyer for you now.

Are you after a USB-only drive or one that you can plug into your network and perform backups remotely. I'm eyeing up a LaCie Ethernet Disk mini; 320GB, and both ethernet for constant backups/retrieval and USB for fast writing and portability. About 140

Proper Backup

Don't forget the importance of remote back up also....a hard drive with all your important data isn't much good if your office burns down (or hard drives stolen) with the main and external hard drive in it is it?

If doing your own back up you can make it remote by taking the external hard drive 'off site' at the end of each working day - if you don't do this the back up isn't good enough.

Best Wishes

Amanda

Backup Paranoia

I have offsite, but rather irrationally don't fully 'trust it' and so I have on site as well!

Oh didn't think of using hosting as a backup, was thinking of those things you pay like 10- 15 p/m for automatic backup to some cold war bunker.

Cheers
