what represents privacy/security for a logo?
just a quick one..
im trying to come up with a symbol to go inside a logo that represents privacy and security in terms of a software company specialising in email software... so far i have come up with: - a key - a key hole - a padlock - a shield - an envelope with a padlock on it can anyone come up with any other symbols that represent privacy and security for a email software company? so far none of the above really work, too unoriginal and obvious.....I want something different but still relevant to what the company does. any ideas welcome! |

Thought I'd give it a go as no one else has! It's actually quite hard! All I've come up with so far is a portcullis and one of those big heavy wooden doors with the iron bars across them in a sort of pointy shape. Sort of medieval castle doors. Can't describe! Will give it some more thought.....

nice ideas...
i like the thought of a sheriff badge but its a UK company and those badges are too american .a portcullis is an ace idea, something like this one would be good as a symbol http://www.leedsne.co.uk/sites/19/images/portcullis.gif... cheers eagle for that link... and a guard dog could be good also as long as it doesnt scare customers away ....hmmm thanks for the ideas, any more? |

Yea sheriff badge is rather American. How about some sort of sign, such as 'no entry' or a 'STOP' sign...without making it look tackie may be hard.
http://www.through-the-maze.org.uk/s...lth_safety.gif You could adapt this. Perhaps put a computer instead of heart? Hope this gives inspiration.

Careful though. If I recall correctly, certain shield designs in the UK must receive consent from the Heraldry Commission. Or something. ?...
