OT: model wanted

I'm a 2nd year Fashion student, specialising in styling and am doing a shoot for disorder magazine in 2 weeks time. I'm looking for a female fashion model who wants to build up her editorial portfolio. Expenses can be paid and free shots given. Your name and face will also be published in a magazine! If you're a model or know someone who is and may be interested then please let me know!

Actually, new members can't come on here, tell us practically nothing about themselves and make a request.

You have to maintain a level of consistency in moderating, if you allow this then you you have to allow a lot of other rubbish. People have got first warnings for very similar posts to this in the past.

I don't think this person should get a warning, but their first post isn't with keeping with the consistency of the forum.

Please come back and tell us more about what you do and the style of your designs. I am a distributor and about to launch a jewellery collection soon so would be interested in knowing the style of your fashion and if it does suit my jewellery would you be looking for some to compliment your fashion shoot?

Whats the point!? Really? Why did you feel that you needed to make that post? If you had a problem, with what looks to me like an honest and genuine request then why broadcast it here? Why not just either keep your opinion to yourself, or contact one of the Mods.

She's not offering a service, she's looking for one. Something we all do here do we not? Only difference is that people are offered something for their services. I believe a service swap is quite commonly offered in many places?

Two things. 1) There is nothing wrong with my signature.

2) I can't believe some of you guys can't see the inconsistency of a new poster asking for something, a model(!) at that.

It's the same as when a new poster comes on here and asks us to contact them for a new way to make money, which we get all the time.

I am not saying this person is spamming but in keeping with the consistency of the forum the post was wrong.

In the past when I have argued the case for a more common sense approach to moderating I was predominantely told that the forum must remain consistant and at a zero tolerence.

I'm sorry if I upset some of you, but I don't have double standards.

Phillipa I do welcome you to the forum, but generally this is a business forum, though there might be some models :-) and we do have tougher rules than most forums.
