Private Messaging Off?

Hi,

Is it possible for PM usage to be turned on for the entire forum membership?

The reason I mention this now, is because I noticed another user on-line with me at this early hour, and wanted to send a friendly morning 'Hi' and starting a thread to say that would have been odd

I can't see why we can't have PM's either would reduce the number of 'FAO'...

The amount of times I've clicked to PM someone and cursed that message that comes up telling me I can't...

Also, as members sometimes post their e-mail address in a thread, changing to private messages might also lower the risk of receiving e-mail spam.

Instead of saying 'please e-mail someone@spambob.org ' ; they could simply say 'please PM'

I think it's like that to keep the mass spammers away from filling our accounts!
