Business Partnerships

Has anyone on the forum any experience of buying into an existing business?

Currently considering going into partnership with someone I know who has an established business. Presently its a one man operation with potential to grow but owner is working all hours in the business already.

The discussions are at very early stages and I would definitely want an accountant to check the books. We are not quite at that stage yet though.

In the meantime if you can think of any questions we could ask it would be appreciated. With the experience of the board members I'm sure you will come up with something that we didn't think of.
