Partners in Business

Hi guys,

Do any of you work with a partner or partners in your business/line of work. I was just wondering how did/do you go about choosing one? I am reading Richard Branson's Auto-biography at the moment and it seems to me, the reasons for his success is that he's always had a few partners to discuss things with. To contribute in ideas etc.

Hi Damion,

I used to run Marginex Design for nearly 3 years, but never really grew etc as I was limited to what I could do.

I started Peekaboo Design with a guy called Howard who I was put in touch with through his GF, we spoke and 3 days later we setup Peekaboo!!

But it has worked out very well, Howard's experience is print/illustration design and im web/graphic design so we compliment each other well. The only downfall we had was the fact from Day 1 we started from scratch we had to pay 2 people not just 1 like were used to.

But I certainly recommend it!!

That's the best book I've ever read! Would highly reccommend it to anyone!

Mum and Dad bought me it for Christmas as a stocking filler last year

It definitely inspires me to go for it. And keep going with all my new ideas. Whether they make it or not. A very good read, I've nearly finished it. Not a very fast reader!

Agreed, great book!

I've been reading a lot of business biographies lately but Branson's is the most entertaining and inspiring so far. Probably because he writes about the adventures and opportunities his success has brought him, as well as the raw business details.

Kudos to him for risking his life in those insane balloon and boat challenges too.

Can't agree more. Branson's book inspired me to get into business. He's a bloody nice bloke as well. I wrote to him after I'd read it to thank him for the inspiration and got a handwritten reply.

Yeah, he does seem a nice bloke, I don't think you get where he is by being a nice bloke all the time though. I don't own any of his books. I'll get this one off someone for christmas or something. Thanks for the reccommendation.

I've ordered the biography and auto biography. Has anyone read any of his other books? I've heard about a couple of them but I was thinking about getting the lessons in life one too. Anyone read that?
