After my experience it doesn't matter if what you're offering is free or not...it's still deemed as self promotion!

And as I have told you on another thread, we welcome free things within reason, but all posts of that nature need to be put by thickchick first.

I was explaining how you guys deem 'self promotion', that it doesn't matter about cost, etc...if you are trying to attract people to your site, email, or whatever it can be seen as self promotion.
