press release tips

hi there, just in the process of writing my first press release...

any tips would be gratefully received - general ones or specific im not bothered. whether it be about the writing of it or its distribution

I wrote a press release using help from this page - this week I'm going to have a spotlight article in the Hull Daily Mail business section, so can't be too wrong.

Only thing I have to say is try to emphasise a newsworthy point (mine was that I'm a wee 16 year old fresh out of school - they're a gullible newspaper I know).
