Theme Events

I was hoping all you creative people could help me with my potential business idea.

I am in the process of setting up an events company with a difference! After hosting a couple of very succesful events I have decided to set up an events company specialising in formal THEMED events! I am currently in the process of conducting some market research and would love to hear the forum's views. What kind of 'themed' events would you like a chance to attend or think would work? And what would you be prepared to pay for the experience (3 course meal and live entertainment included)?
Here's some ideas to get you thinking....Motown, Arabian, Bollywood, Musicals, Carabbian, Japanese (you get the idea...).
I live in a town with a very limited choice of entertainment and dinning options and thought by hosting regular 'themed' events people would have the chance to experience something a bit different without having to travel miles to the nearest city....

Your feedback and thoughts - good or bad, would be much appreciated

Where are you based?

I know several people who run West End cabaret shows, they also have a lot of other connections. They are mainly based in London, but I am sure can do other cities.

Sorry to be a stick in the mud but how exactly is this an events company with a difference? You've only got to pick up a trade mag and you'll see lots of companies like this - try googling and see what comes up.

I have tried researching existing companies mainly via the internet but only seem to find listings of suppliers or entertainers to cater for 'themed' events. I am yet to find an events co. who actually hosts themed parties on a regular basis. If you know of any companies who have already or are currently running a similar business please let me know. Yeah I agree there are loads of companies that do this.

Rach what Trade Mags are you finding useful these days?

I get them all....I love mags it's an addiction from CIT to PR weekly
