Does anyone know any wholesale companies for Swarovski crystal jewellery ? Do I need to go direct to Austria ?

surely you must be able to get it wholesale from the UK distributors, unless they are careful about who they are wholesaling to, you may need a huge order too.

You need to be VAT registered and be commited to buying at least £7,500 worth of stock per year. They are quite strict and hard to get hold of at first.

Hi, I know Swarovski is very popular, but you could find similar products with good qulity made from lead crystal (same material as Swarovski). Iam from Bulgaria and in our area is one of the biggest producers of lead crystal. The qulity is great and the prices are relativly cheap. If you are thinking of selling crystal I can check in their wholeshop for you.

Similar being the key word there. Swarovski is pure quality. You could cut yourself on the cuts of their crystal. Ive never seen or heard anything about lead crystal so I cant really comment on its quality but im willing to bet there will be a noticable difference in quality compared to swarovski.

I'll look into that lead crystal from Bulgaria though.

Swarovski is so popular because of limited edition of the products. Swarowski crystal is a lead crystal. I will try to find some web page with information about the lead crystal.

Learn something new every day. I looked it up ealier and found loads of info about it. Lead is what is responsible for the ring you hear in crystal. Didnt know that.

Yes thats right, Usually they put about 24-28% of lead oxide to the glass and voila-crystal

OK so thick question, if it has lead in it why do I keep breaking stuff so easily?
