Hi all,

Id like you all to read this blog post by ex-Dragons Den Entrepreneur Doug Richard.

I recently contacted him with regard to a contact I had made at the Business North West conference, he was presented to me as someone who could help me get funding and find an investor - which was my plan for 2010. However within a few days, alarm bells started to ring, and so before confronting him to say I thought he was a scammer I asked Doug for his opinion. He was so infuriated by my story that he has invited me free of charge to his Investment Programme in London next week and has written the following article....

A lot of you may not be looking for an investor yet, but this advice may prove invaluable in the future so please read! Also since many of you are actively trying to secure funding of various kinds, there is a good chance you may come across the chap in question - or someone operating in a similar fashion - so please be on your guard and read this blog!!

Thankfully my offensively cynical and accusing disposition put me in good stead on this occassion, and for once I am grateful for my much criticised outlook on life that everyone is trying to con me, but it was a close shave! x
