Partner Affliate Site for computer Software

Thanks for comments on the post. We are currently debating idea on how best to run the partner program and wondered the interest with like minded people in here .

Pc World Aka the dixons group are beatable( believe it or not) although you can imagine the monopoly they have for deals !

If I can I ask the forum perhaps a better question.

What would you like to see in a partner program ?

1. Most importantly you need to offer your products at a competitive price. You may have the best affiliate scheme in the world but if your products aren't competitively priced then it's a non starter. Especially in the software sector as it is mainstream and there are lots of players in your market. BTW this is not a criticism I haven't even checked your prices so don't know if you are competitive or not.

2. A dedicated affiliate manager who is on hand to run the program, answer queries and offer general advice and support to your affiliates. Somebody who views affiliates as partners and doesn't think affiliate marketing is a free branding exercise.

3. A good range of banners, text links etc. and the ability to deep link to any product in your site.

4. Access to a datafeed of your products that is updated at least daily.

5. Regular promotional activity to promote insterest in your site.

6. Regular incentives to promote interest in your affiliates!

7. A decent cookie length of say 90 days. Or better still lifetime commission on repeat visitors.

8. Competitive commission rates and possibly a tiered structure for high earners.
