image-ad creation

hello everyone,
this is my first post here although i vist regularly as the advcie given i think is great.

i have a problem with image quality-basically i want to create some nice looking flyers for my hairdressing business.at the moment i have treid just taking images of the net and printing off but the quality isnt too good-anyone know how to get images whether free or for a price that print well and are classy??

i dont think i can afford to hire a graphic designer but am willing to give it a go myself i have the text its just getting the images that is the problem.

if anyones got similar problems/or advice would love to know what you did.

Hi,

Most images on the net will be low resolution GIFs and JPGs and so are not likely to print well. For good free images I would recommend looking at http://www.sxc.hu

you could try...

if you are on a budget, try http://www.logoforge.co.uk
They do more than logos. Printing, leaflets, flyers etc.
Check the site and drop them an email and see if they can help out

If you drop me an e-mail (info@fullphatdesign.co.uk) I can do you decent price for the print and design combined- if you really wanna get the photos and do it yourself try www.istockphoto.com - they do cheap images- thousands of them!
