does anyone know what kind of revenue you get form clicks?
I know it mus be different for each one - but just on average what kind of ball park numbers are we talking about?1p? 5p? 10p? 30p?

I just wondered if anyone cares to shed some light

Do you mean if you display Google AdSense ads on your site?

If so then yes unfortunately it is impossible to say as each market is different with people paying different Cost Per Clicks per keyword. Plus Google don't actually tell you what you get paid per click, just a total.

As I said it varys massively depending on the ads shown on your site. Some can earn you many pounds per click and some 2p.

I know, what's your point?

Nobody is posting their cpc earnings, just giving an indication of what is possible.

Most people who put effort into it do pay for their web hosting from it very easily indeed and that scales across their sites (i.e. more traffic = more to run though more ad clicks = paid for!)

I realise this is just an experiment with adwords and you're not going fully at the moment.

I would say though that personally I don't like commercial sites with adverts, I know even MS do it nowadays it just feels and looks wrong. Web hosting for smaller companies isnt that much money and I always feel that if they have adverts up for what wont be a massive extra revenue then the business is focused badly.

Absolutely spot on! Its a big turnoff to see google ads on commercial sites and makes me think twice about dealing with them. The business should be focused on its core products/services and not trying to get an extra couple of pounds in adsense revenues.

I had signed up for ad clicks previously and was then getting $0.03 for each one. Long and boring process :-) on the other hand could be a good source of small income, for those with time to spare.
