Director and employee?

Hi. Can a Director of a Ltd company be also employed with a different role e.g. Marketing Manager?

If you have set up a Ltd company, then any directors involved in the business are in fact employees and it is very usual for the directors to have specific roles. In my business the directors are split between sales, marketing, operations and finance as their day to day roles and then board responsibilities are separate to these areas.
