If I were you I would try writing to as many football clubs in the UK as you can afford to, explain what you are doing to try and become a professional footballer and ask what possibilities there are for you. Additonally you can always think about alternative careers surrounding football, coaching etc.

The www.shell-livewire.org site holds a section called the big trip. If you have a look in this section there are some useful excercises to help you decide what career path you might take and sort through your strengths and weaknesses.
