I am thinking of doing some book keeping work as a small business.

I am working full time as a trainee accountant & studying for level 2 of the ACCA qualification. I have a couple of questions on starting a small business for myself.

I am aware of informing the revenue of sole trader status, but will my employer be made aware of this?

Do i need to take out any insurances or anything else when starting something of this nature?

Any help would be great
