Hello Sir/madam,

i have discovered a herbal soap that i am confident will be of interest to The Body shop or Boots. I am not too sure on how to approach these companies. I have the option of simply phoning them or writing to them with a sample of the soap, but am worried that they may be able to break the soap down, find the formula and cut me out. Would you have any knowledge or advice that would be help me.

Hi Ahmed

Sounds like you might need to protect your idea first before you approach these other organisations.

Why not draw up a confidentiality agreement also known as a non-disclosure agreement or NDA. It is a legal agreement which is used where the owner of confidential information wishes to disclose that information to another party(either an individual or a company) usually in the course of business negotiations, and wishes the information to remain confidential. By signing this confidentiality agreement form the recipient undertakes not to disclose the confidential information.

You can access this on www.clickdocs.co.uk.

Good luck

It always a good idea to copy-write your work also.

Write your formula and post it to yourself.

Why not try avon too!

Good luck!
