View Full Version : terms and conditions

Hi, I'm in the middle of writing the copy for my website at the moment, and wondered how important it is to include a 'Terms and Conditions' page. I've noticed that some websites don't include one at all, but others go into tremendous legal detail on their T+C page. What kind of problems would it cause if I don't include one?
My website is information based - only and does not sell anything online, and does not have a message board which includes anyone's personal details.
Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Hi Bec,

I think it is totally up to you - as long as you do have some t&c's as a hard copy and put on your website "t's & c's available upon request".

Hope this helps and good luck!

Terms and conditions only apply to purchases, so as the other mentor says, just letting people know they are available will usually suffice.
