Hi,
I can think of a few ways of advertising your business:
1) Adverts in local papers, especially the free weeklies, as every home should receive a copy.
2) Adverts in newsagents' windows.
3) Leaflets in the likes of a community cafe.
4) Word of mouth - perhaps you could do a few free jobs in different areas of your town (knock on a few doors, say it's totally free as you're just trying to get established, and hopefully someone will give you a chance to show what your service can do!). If the neighbours see or hear about your business, they may ask about you, so you should always leave a card with all your contact details on.
Some of the members of our online community will also have ideas - if you'd like to find out how you can get involved, send me an e-mail: lee.longstaff@pne.org
Good luck, and keep us informed of your progress,
Lee

Hi,
Taking into account the number of people that use Yellow Pages to source services such as yours, I'd also consider the types of advertising available for this directory.
Also consider an enhanced listing with the online version of Yellow Pages - yell.com
I hope this helps and best of luck in your new business.
