I am starting a web based business selling men's good such as cufflinks, grooming kits, designer clothes etc. I have been searching for a long time and I still haven't found anyone who sells designer labels. Could anybody help me with that please?

Also considering the rise in interest rates do you think that it is still wise to set up an site? Would the rise in interest rates put you off buying online?

Thanks

Hi,

The following sites may be of use if you are looking for wholesalers/suppliers in the UK:

http://www.britishcompanies.co.uk
http://www.firstwholesale.net (Membership site)
http://www.4ni.co.uk/directory.asp?level1=21 (Northern Ireland only)
http://www.theuktrader.co.uk (Membership site)
http://www.thewholesaler.co.uk
http://www.uk-trade-directory.com

You may also find it beneficial to ask if someone from our online community knows of any good suppliers in this area. E-mail me to find out how you can get involved: lee.longstaff@pne.org

I don't see how a rise in interest rates will really affect setting up a website, or people buying from one.

Hi Lee thanks for your reply, I found those sights very helpful.

What I meant when I talked about interest rates was whether prospective customers would be put off buying online as a result of the high interest rates

Thanks again
Muhammad

I don't think interest rates will be a problem, unless they rise dramatically and people feel that they can't afford 'luxury' items.
