Dear Mentor,

I've been wondering if I can do a business with TESCO. Also I would like to be a supplier of TESCO. Could you give me some advice for this?

Cheers.

Hi,

If you register online with Shell LiveWIRE at www.shell-livewire.org, you can access all of the information within the Be Your Own Boss section. You should then take a look at Sales and Marketing / Sales: http://www.shell-livewire.org/beyourownboss/main.php?catid=4&subcatid=6

Obviously, you will have to be very professional in your approach to an organisation as large as TESCO and the above section will provide you with some useful hints and tips on how you can go about making the initial contact.

Thanks for your help. Another point that has been bothering me is how I can make the initiate contact with TESCO? Which department should I get in touch? How can I find them?

Cheers

Hi,

You will be able to find out contact details for TESCO's head office via the Companies House website: http://www.companieshouse.co.uk

The best person to speak to will be the Buyer. At this stage, it will probably be best just to speak to someone in the department, rather than the top person, to ask how you go about things.

Letter (on high quality paper, complete with company logo, contact details, etc will give you a more professional appearance) or telephone (rehearse what you want to say and have a pen and paper handy) will be the best form of initial contact.
