choosing a location?

I am seriously considering starting out with my own business, with a friend as a partner. We have sat down and prepred certain aspects but we can not decide on the best local area to site the shop, as we do not wnat anywhere too expensive when starting out, but we need a good retail site.

As I do not know what area you are looking at or what your shop will sell, I cannot give you more specific advise. However, for any retail business, location can be key to success so make sure you do plenty of research on the area - what type of people shop here already, what other shops are in this area, is the area busy, is their good parking facilities etc.

If you are have not already doen so, I would register for an account on the LiveWire site for an advisor who can help you with specifics on market research for business plans.

It is also adviseable to contact your local Business Link as they will have more regional information regarding help in setting up business.
