Hi there,

can you help me?

One of the ideas I want to develop is texting all the members of my organisation on a regular basis, which I expect will increase in the next few years from 500 into 1000s.

Does anybody have any advice on the most cost effective/best way of doing this?

Thank you for your help,

Hi Jon,

You should maybe try the larger mobile com shops they are normally pretty good.

You should mention its for your biz as most shops or mobile network service providers have very good biz plan deals eg:get so many texts free per month can have upto so many hansets for employees etc.

I dont think T.Mobile offer a Biz service but the rest i'm sure do.

Hope this has helped,Good Luck

You could be really cheeky and set up a reverse billing account so that all your members can opt in but then have to remember to opt out if they want to be removed and then every time you send them a text, it costs them and not you!

There is a company who offer bulk SMS delivery if you are interested.

Mobile Messaging Centre (http://www.mobilemessagecentre.co.uk/sms/pro/prosms.asp)

Hope this helps

Give Dynmark (www.dynmark.com) a try, you can buy amounts of messages in blocks to suit your requirements, and send messages via a PC or web-based interface.

Im using them for a project im doing at the moment and they seem quite good and offer a lot of support.

Hi Jon

Do you mean that you want to text your employees?

I'd be careful here because even though you may feel this is useful for you - your employees may not want to give you their mobile no. They may feel that this starts to infringe on their personal lives too much and may resent it.

And I def. wouldn't reverse bill them!!!

Just something to bear in mind.

Hi there,

thank you for your help, lots of places for me to look into.

Kevin, love your thinking with regard to the reverse billing - will certainly have to find out more about that one - not sure, however if I would do too well when my customers start getting their bills through!

Rhys - not going to be texting employees, my main area of interest at the moment is promotions so will be texting those interested in my events and products.

Thanks again,
