We run a hugely successful tour in the North East giving live performance opportunities to 12-18 year olds in school. Our tours attract in excess of 2,000 students/performances across the 50+ events during the school term. The tour received a start up loan from the Princes Trust and a small grant from the Arts Council.

In October 2004, we will be starting the third year of this tour and want to bring in an extra member of staff to give tuition in vocal and performance methods.

It is for this reason we are looking for a sponsor or sponsors to cover this staff member.

Does anyone have any advice on this?

Hi Adam,

Would it be worthwhile contacting the Prince's Trust again to see if they can help? Or how about approaching either the local authorities, One NorthEast or the Arts Council England, North East? The latter may certainly be the most viable option and ties in with what your organisation does:

You could even try approaching the local football clubs, who are usually keen to be seen supporting the community.
