The main areas of funding for new businesses tend to come from
1. investing your own money
2. obtaining investment from friends and family
3. bank loan (if you have security)
4. business angel
5. venture capital
In addition grants can be sourced through organisations such as the Princes Trust and if you have no security you could look at the Small Business Loan Guarantee scheme which the main high street banks are involved with.
Firstly, you will need to demonstrate how much funding you need, what it will be used for and what return you expect to get. These should be fundamentals in your overall Business Plan. Registering for a LiveWire advisor can give you more assistance on completing your Business Plan.
You could also enter the awards and give your business a cash injection with no ties. Again the website will tell you all about this.
